At Waypoint we believe that kids are essential in the Kingdom of God and the life of the church! We desire to partner with parents to raise and disciple a passionate, God-fearing generation. We want our kids to be radical, vibrant, devoted followers of Jesus for their whole lives!
Waypoint Kids Ministry is equipped with staff and volunteers who have completed background checks and have been through our application process so that we can foster a safe and fun place for your kids to grow.
The youth of Waypoint are not the future of the church, they are the church. We love having them join us in our services every Sunday morning as they lead the way in worship and passion for Jesus. Every Wednesday nights, they gather to have a ton of fun, worship together, and get relevant teaching. We also have LifeGroups designed just for High School and Middle School Students meeting throughout the week as well. If you are in Middle School or High School, you will want to get plugged in!
COLLEGE + YOUNG ADULT MINISTRY
Our college and young adult ministry is specifically designed for those 18-29. This is a place to live out your passion for Jesus with others in your same stage of life through weekly LifeGroups, monthly services called The Gathering, outreach trips, worship nights, great events, and so much more. If you are looking for authentic community and a place to be passionate for Jesus, this is the place for you.
Whether you are a young mom, an empty nester, or still in college, our women’s ministry is designed specifically for you to grow in relationships with other women as well as be encouraged in your relationship with God. Each year we have a Women’s Retreat that is filled with fun activities, deep conversations, and relevant speakers. Also, we have multiple brunches throughout the year that are a great way to spend a Saturday morning.
We know that God has a heart for every man to know God and to be in relationship with each other. Throughout the year we have various opportunities for men to hang out with one another and to grow in their relationship with God. We do this through various events, including our Men’s Weekend that happens in the fall each year.
God has called us to Omaha for a reason. We know that as we reach into our community through meeting the needs that are immediately around us it will enable us to practically show the love of Jesus to our city. We would love to have you join with us in reaching out to those around us! Currently, we are meeting the needs of the community around us through the following areas:
Prayer is the foundation for all that happens here at Waypoint. We have many opportunities to pray each month as well as church wide worship and prayer nights throughout the year. We meet weekly at 6am on Sunday mornings to pray for the Sunday service, as well as for different areas in the church. Every Sunday after each of our services, we also provide the opportunity for prayer from our ministry team.
Once a month we provide the opportunity for anyone to receive prayer from our prophetic prayer team on Monday nights once a month.
Our Mission is to see individuals become free from the effects of offense, hurt, or loss through the transforming power of forgiveness and freedom in Jesus Christ. Join us on Monday evenings as we start a new series, “Becoming Relationally Free!” We will be discussing: free to be the real you, the price of freedom, free to forgive, reconciliation, and free to love and be loved.
We love worship, being a part of leading our church into an encounter with Jesus on Sundays and other services as well. Our hope is to get you connected with our church in one or multiple services. In order for us to get to know you and your musical background, please fill out this form. Upon completing the form, please submit a video of you playing the song listed on the various instrument pages. Once you send in your video, we will meet with you in two to three weeks.
Come be a part of a community of moms who meet to embrace the journey of motherhood together! MOPS is open to any mom with a child infant through kindergarten. We meet at Waypoint Church (1313 North 48th Avenue) on the first and third Thursday of each month. Childcare is available.
