What is Alpha?

Alpha is an eleven week series of group conversations that explore life, spirituality and faith through a Christian lens. We create a non-judgmental and open environment where it’s easy for anyone who is curious about faith to explore questions of life with new friends.

How it works:

WELCOME + meal

6:30-7:00PM

Welcome, meet some new people and eat a meal together.

WATCH

7:00pm-7:30PM: Short FILMS WITH BIG IDEAS

Each Alpha evening features a 25 minute film. These are designed to inspire more questions than provide answers, and explore the big issues around faith. They unpack the basics of Christianity, addressing questions such as who is Jesus? and how can we have faith?

DISCUSS

7:30PM-8:00PM: DISCUSS THE QUESTIONS THAT MATTER TO YOU

Your hosts will lead small group conversations about the video content, where you will have the opportunity to share your thoughts about faith and life, and hear from others in your group. You can feel free to say whatever you like or as little as you like, it's up to you.

SOCIALIZE

8:00PM-8:30PM: HANG OUT

You are welcome to stay and hang out or ask any further questions.

When and Where:

Alpha will be held on Monday nights starting April 24th from 6:30 - 8:30pm at the Reids house, 820 Fairacres Rd Omaha, NE 68132.
