The Vision

The Waypoint Discipleship School is designed to take you deeper into your relationship with Jesus, closer to the body of Christ and further into the harvest field.  We will accomplish this through equipping in the classroom, discipleship relationships and by reaching out to the unreached both in our city and in the nations of the world. 

 

Important Details

·       Classes run for 5-months (September - January)

·       We will meet each week on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6:30 - 9:00pm

·       We will take a 10-14 day missions trip in early February (location TBD)

·       Application and $100 deposit deadline August 13th

 

Cost

§  Students will be responsible for raising approx. $2,250 for the missions trip

§  Students will be responsible for paying $400 for the class, books and retreat costs

§  Total cost of the school is $2,650

 

Expectations for each Students

§  Devotion to Jesus – Students will spend at least an hour with Jesus 7 days/ week

§  Bible & book reading – Students will read through the New Testament & two other books over the 6 months

§  Evangelism – Students will be trained to share the gospel weekly

§  Discipleship – Students will meet with a mentor on a regular basis

§  Scripture memorization – Students will memorize 2 scriptures each week and be tested on the material over the course of the 6 months

§  Fasting – Students will learn the discipline and impact of fasting together as a class

§  Servant hood – Students will give back to the body through service

 

Goals for each student

§  To personally lead several people to Jesus and begin to disciple them

§  To personally see a miracle take place through prayer

§  To develop the disciplines of the faith.  Learn how to: pray, fast, share the gospel, study and understand the word and discover how to operate in the spiritual gifts
